A superior, waterproof, breathable technology utilizing a polyurethane (PU) coating that consists of a tri-component, mutli-layer formula for waterproof protection, moisture permeability and durability. Lab and field tested to ensure the best possible durability and function. To test the level of waterproofness, The North Face subjected HyVent garments to 20 wash cycles, where garments retained an average of more than 60 PSI on the waterproofing Mullens Test.

PrimaLoft Eco

PrimaLoft Eco uses fibers made from a minimum 50% recycled materials in combination with standard PrimaLoft fibers to create a high loft, performance insulation. It is warm, lightweight, and water resistant, with superior softness. PrimaLoft Eco fibers are produced from post-consumer products ( e.g. plastic bottles ) and postindustrial waste ate the same time, they are still subject to the rigorous test standards and specifications befitting the exceptional tradition of PrimaLoft.

Recco

RECCO is an avalanche rescue system utilized by more than 500 rescue organizations worldwide to assist in the efficient location of burials. RECCO technology enables rapid directional pinpointing of a victim�s precise location using harmonic radar. The two-part system consists of a RECCO detector used by organized rescue groups, and RECCO reflectors that are integrated into apparel, helmets, protection gear or boots. The reflector is permanently affixed, requires no training for use and needs no batteries to function.
