Story Time : The path to sustainability is an important journey for The North Face. As a company, The North Face is dedicated to the design and manufacture of sustainable products. They're taking small steps on that path by construction several environmentally-conscious products via technological partnerships with Polartec, Pertex Eco and other leading textile and apparel companies. When compared with polyester from virgin materials, the use of Pertex Eco ripstop fabric for the shell and taffeta for the lining of the Re Meow results in : - An 84% reduction in energy consumption during manufacturing - A 77% reduction in CO2 output during manufacturing - No residual waste material by-product as all material waste is reused Both post-consumer and post-industrial is recycled to make Pertex Eco. Pertex uses plastic water bottles, recycled garment fabrics, factory yarn waste and leftover PR film in fabric manufacturing to make a silky smooth, technically robust sleeping bag fabric.

Vaulted Footbox

An innovative vaulted footbox from The North Face is ergonomically curved to provide sufficient space for your feet to flex and move naturally. This encourages continued blood circulation to the lower extremities while also eliminating dead air space, ultimately keeping you warmed and more comfortable on backcountry nights.

Women's Specific Fit

Designing a women's pack extends far beyond shrinking a men's version. For starters, The North Face women's packs offer shorter torso lengths that guarantee a comfortable, functional, non-chafing fit for women. They also feature shorter shoulder straps that are placed closer together to suit narrower shoulders and accommodate a women's chest. A softer mesh fabric in the shoulder straps delivers more comfort, even if the wearer has on a tank top or sports bra. Over all, women's packs have softer, rounder lines than men's packs, yet still provide the exact same rugged, mile-after-mile performance.
