Light, durable and stable on the most demanding trails, the XA Pro 3D Ultra 2 gets a streamlined profile and improved durability thanks to a new outsole geometry.

XA Pro 3D Ultra trail running shoe from Salomon has been dominating the trail running world in past couple years. The brand new, light, durable and stable version 2 of this shoe gets a streamlined profile and improved stability thanks to a new outsole geometry. The shoe is built on a 3D Advanced Chassis that provides stability and performance even on the most demanding terrains. Triple-density EVA molded midsole provides pronation control and just enough cushioning where you need it. Sensifit system and gusseted tongue were designed to provide custom secure fit that is essential during trail runs where more lateral movement is present. Quicklace lacing system made out of Kevlar, featuring lace pocket and easy-to-grab handle will allow you to lace-up these trail running shoes in a jiff and will keep you safe throughout the run. Removable OrthoLite liner sitting on molded EVA footbed is treated with an anti-microbial treatment so your kicks will not smell funky even after hours-long runs.

Heavy duty trail shoe

5 stars rating (5/5)

This is definitely a shoe designed for trail, it's like an SUV. Even though the shoe is heavy and sturdy, it still has enough flexibility that running is actually enjoyable. Not to say that this shoe is too stiff, it is simply a true trail running shoe and if you are not planning on using it in outdoor environment, it might seem like too much of a shoe. It has a low profile, keeping you closer to the ground, something that is super important when running on trails and uneven surfaces as it will decrease the risk of injury. It has a tight fit thanks to the Salomon's sensifit system, again something that you will appreciate when running on the trail. Lacing is well done and easy to use, it stays put throughout the run without being in the way.
