The mountain trail running shoe with added ankle supports of a mid cut and GORE-TEX for full waterproofness.

Trail running is a constant battle against roots, rocks, and uneven terrain. Salomon's XA Pro 3D Mid GTX Ultra high rise trail runner understands the road ahead and offers extended ankle support. A full waterproof membrane blocks out wetness from seeping into your shoes, which in turn prevents blisters that prevent you from running. A debris guard near the Achilles acts like a mud flap, keeping stuff out from sneaking down the back of your leg and into your shoe. The Mid is an ultimate trail shoe that is ready to take on the trail ahead with you.

Great shoe for hiking and trail running

5 stars rating (5/5)

This is a great shoe both for light hiking or trekking and trail running. I bought mine first pair couple years ago and I keep coming back to it as it really does deliver lot of value. It's waterproof, light and flexible, yet it provides enough support for hiking. Easy to get in and out, the lacing system is great.

Light hiker and trail runner in one piece

5 stars rating (5/5)

I like the hybrid nature of this shoe, it's build on a trail running platform yet it works great as a light hiker too. It's basically a taller version of their XA Pro 3D shoe which is great for little extra protection during hikes but it's flexible enough that one can run in this shoe. It's also great to have taller shoe with a GORE-TEX liner for crossing creeks and whatnot.
